The Middle Fork of the Salmon is successfully managed to offer a wilderness experience to all its visitors. This results in great fishing and zero crowds.

Trip Highlights- Rocky’s late summer 6 day trips are perfect for guests with mixed pursuits.  The serious fly fisherman will have the opportunity to fish all day, every day.  While the rest of the family enjoys fun rapids, hotsprings, hikes, amazing Dutch oven food and exploring the largest road-less wilderness in the US. Guests will enjoy a scenic flight from Stanley Idaho directly to the Middle Fork

Trip Notes – Rocky’s August 6 Day Raft & Fish trips offer the opportunity to experience the Middle Forks amazing fly fishing while running fun & safe whitewater.  These trips are special, and we bring along drift boats and fishing raft to celebrate!  Salmon River Anglers, Rocky’s fly fishing partners on the Middle Fork,  join the adventure. Beginning the middle of August, our senior fly guides & instructors migrate from our 1 day float trips on the headwaters of the Salmon to the hopper-hungry Cutthroat trout of the Middle Fork.

Includes –  Professional & fun guides.  One professional fly fishing guide/instructor and fishing specific boat per 12 guests.  New, comfortable camping equipment. Top notch rafting gear.  Sodas, regional beer, selected wine, fresh & creative food. Comfortable Motor Coach return to Stanley at the end of your trip.

Boat Options – Guide driven oar boats, a paddle boat and inflatable kayaks are available daily.  Our 18 wheeler, aka,  Sweepboat caries all the gear ahead to our campsite.  This gives us plenty of clutter free, comfortable space on all our boats for our guests to enjoy.

Beyond the Banks – Rafting is only part of the trip.  Rocky trips offer hiking, exploring waterfalls, discovering pictographs, experiencing historical homesteads, soaking in natural hot springs and witnessing wildlife.
