All of our September trips include backcountry flights and a 12 Angler maximum.
Rocky put a pause on September fishing trips for the past 5 season as we let the drainages of the Upper Middle Fork recover from the Boundary Fire (sept 2021). The Upper drainages were heavily affected causing long-lasting collateral issues that have changed the Upper Middle Fork permanently. The past 5 years have seen fire affected side creeks deposit copious amount of dirt and rocks into the Middle Fork causing new rapids, new channels and very dirty water! After 5 years of rest, we feel the upper MFS is ready for fall fly fishing!
NEW IN 2026!
Rocky is offering a 3-day Fishing expedition on the Upper 25 miles. Angler clients will all spend the day in/out of Streamtech boats hunting cutthroat and the elusive Bull trout in the deep pools of the Upper Middle Fork. Due to low-water and technical rapids the Upper 25 miles gets very little fishing pressure in late August and September.
