Rocky Mountain River Tours Warehouse Manager 

Manage warehouse cleanliness, organization, food and gear inventory.   Manage trip food packing and preparation. This is a supervisor level position that works directly with Rocky Management, Food and Bev vendors and SAC/Rocky guide teams.

COMPENSATION & DETAILS

  • Approximately 40 hours over a 7 day work week 
  • May 20 – September 10
  • $18,000 Seasonal Salary
  • 10% available performance-based bonus program
  • $150 for each special menu guest (6-12 per season)
  • Stanley, Idaho Housing available

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out all warehouse cleaning tasks personally or through delegation.
  • Ordering produce, beverages, meats, dairy, and frozen foods as needed by working closely with vendors and keeping inventories up-to-date.
  • Ordering food and beverages and directing or undertaking inventory updates for Sawtooth Adventure Co’s lunch trips by working closely with SAC management
  • Manage inventory of needed gear, first-aid supplies, and guide supplies and ordering through necessary channels in a timely fashion, 
  • Communicating with guides post-trip to order, fix, or update any items necessary
  • Keeping and updating all lists used for trips, food packing, gear packing, ordering, and menus.
  • Manage organization of gear, cold and dry food, lists, and supplies.
  • Preparation, packaging, portioning, and some precooking for all produce, meats, cheeses, dried goods, and frozen goods for individual trips
  • Providing and updating all lists for food packing, trailer packing, and gear packing to guides before rig times, and presenting any relevant knowledge for food or other allergies as needed.
  • Creating special menu meals for clients paying an additional fee for dietary restrictions
  • Creating meals and recipes for guides returning to warehouse post-trip for family dinners
  • Creating easy to-go and on-the-go meals and recipes for guides rig lunches, ramp dinners and breakfasts, and deadhead meals. 
  • Laundering of sleep sets, wet suits, wet gear, splash gear, and managing use of laundry room

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Some weeks may require more than 40+ hours of work in order to complete necessary tasks.
  • The Warehouse Manager will be in charge of their own daily schedule, and should schedule time off and breaks to accommodate the RMRT Middle Fork and Main Salmon trip calender
  • This job requires frequent heavy lifting of packages and gear.
  • This position may require recurring trips to Ketchum/Hailey to pick up supplies for special menus and regular trip items
  • Must be Adaptable and able to think and act quickly to challenges and changes.
  • Driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable vehicle
  • Able to lift up to 60 lbs
  • Knowledge of cooking, following recipes accurately, food prep, and baking preferred
  • Food Handler’s Permit 
  • Ability to communicate clearly,delegate tasks and manage people and think and act quickly
  • Deliver and receive feedback in a professional manner
  • In Stanley May 20 through September 10.  Flexible weekly schedule based on trip calendar.
